TKT is a new teaching qualification from University of Cambridge ESOL examinations. It offers non-native English speakers a qualification in teaching English to other non-native speakers.
This specialised course is avaliable to students of an intermediate or above lavel of English (equivalent of IELTS 4 or above). It is also open to students with or without a formal teaching qualification.
The courses :
is taught in three modules and students take an examination
(paper-based) covering all three modules at the end of the course.
Module One: Language & background to language learning & teaching
Module Two: Planing lessons & use of resources for language teaching
Modue Three: Managing the teaching & learning proess

Full-time Business courses are offered 5 times a year at three levels:
pre-intermediate, intermediate and upper intermediate / advanced.
The course is 25 hours per week and 4 weeks in duration.

Course content :
The course will introduce basic business concepts and language.
Students will practise these though a range of texts and situations from business contexts. There is a high level of cross-cultural content so students become awaer of how business situations very between countries. Previous knowledge of or experience in business is an advantage.
Business English students will have access to facilities and special lessons as listed for General English. An alternative full-time Business English option for students is a Cambridge Business English Certificate course (BEC).
